Rob, thanks so much for visiting! I am all about all things Zork, and it's great that the original text adventures are still downloadable. Can you imagine a current Zork game? I have the "Encyclopedia Frobozzica" which came with one of the games, and it's hilarious! There's a lot of material still to mine, there. :)

It's been a long time since I've heard Zork mentioned anywhere, but it is a great game series. I spent a lot of time with some of the earlier games in the series, and I enjoyed the humor and thought put into the game.

Thanks! Yay, another member of the Geek's club, AG division. If you have Syberia II, treasure it and lock it in a vault. I had to wait 5 weeks from an online vendor, and I haven't been able to find out why it's not in the stores, since Syberia I still is!

I love adventure games, too! I don't think there are enough of them out there. So many try to be like Myst nowadays that they aren't unique enough.

I'll tell you what I miss: Good adventure games that were published by Sierra. I especially love the King's Quest series. I recently bought the collection that was supposed to be XP compatible, but it's actually the original games being run under an open-source emulator called DOSBox. So, without some tweaking, they still don't run right under XP. *sniffle* :-(

I'll have to try out some of the ones you mentioned. I think I bought Syberia II on clearance, but don't want to play it until I get my hands on the first one. :-)
