I spent a lot of time with some of the earlier games in the series, and I enjoyed the humor and thought put into the game. I don't think there are enough of them out there. So many try to be like Myst nowadays that they aren't unique enough. I'll tell you what I miss: Good adventure games that were published by Sierra. I especially love the King's Quest series. I recently bought the collection that was supposed to be XP compatible, but it's actually the original games being run under an open-source emulator called DOSBox. So, without some tweaking, they still don't run right under XP. *sniffle* :-( I'll have to try out some of the ones you mentioned.
