Weather Quiz for the Weekend
THIS IS A FIRE RAINBOW – THE RAREST OF ALL NATURALLY OCCURRING ATMOSPHERIC PHENOMENA. CLOUDS HAVE TO BE CIRRUS, AT LEAST 20K FEET IN THE AIR, WITH JUST THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF ICE CRYSTALS AND THE SUN HAS TO HIT THE CLOUDS AT PRECISELY 58 DEGREES.
It’s a blogthings quiz kind of weekend. As I’ve noticed some intense weather phenomena going on around the world during the past few weeks, I thought I’d find out my weather personality. We had snow in the desert—not uncommon, but it was cold! and cloudy! for a few days! So here are my results—“weather or not” 🙂

hmm, some bits quite spot on, and other bits not so. and it was interesting to learn about the fire rainbow. i’ve seen that image before and i thought it was just a photoshopped thing! gorgeous…

LOVE the fire rainbow. Amazing how just that precise combination of events can create such beauty. I took the test a few times since the responses didn’t quite fit me. I was lightning once and sunshine the other times. I like that. The right combination of events. (-;

While I can’t personally vouch for the photo, it appears to be authentic. This particular event was apparently captured a couple of years ago, and the phenomenon is real. I just thought it was a particularly beautiful and unusual weather event! 🙂
ella, I know you’ve been having quite a winter. I can imagine some of the quiz characteristics in you, but not the cold and unwelcoming part! You certainly are welcoming on your blog!
sulz, I think this describes you pretty well…except for the “destructive & people quickly get sick of you” parts! For heaven sake! Now, ella may be sick of snow by now, but none of us are sick of sulz!!!
CV, well you do have that hidden “beautiful but dangerous” quality to you, perhaps. I certainly wouldn’t think of you in the same sentence with “random acts of violence”, though. It seems the creators of the quiz tried very hard to include the so-called “negative” weather qualities. I do see you as very powerful.
Ronnie Ann, I love how you re-took the quiz ’til you got the “right combination of events!” LOL 😀 That’s the way to approach these quizzes, show ’em who’s boss! Lightning and Sunshine—a good combination.

I’m sunshine too. Although I don’t know about the “too much of you, and they’ll get burned” part. I can be something of a smartass so if you can get burned by a tongue-lashing I guess that would fit. LOL! Its nice to be sunshine on a night when we’ve dropped more than 50 degrees in the last couple of hours. We were in the 80’s on Saturday and on late Sunday we have a huge winter storm moving in with snow and possibility for white-out conditions with blowing snow. Ugh! Wish I had a fireplace!

We are sunshine, Joyfulseeker. Alright, I didn’t know if there’d be another. I know what you mean about that “getting burned” quality. It’s rare that part of me comes out, but it does lurk… 😉 Whew, sudden snow! Brrrrrr. It’s a comfortable 76F here.
