Tea and Brilliance

Posted on August 21, 2008. Filed under: Culture, Games, Musings |

I’d like to take a little break, and share a little tea, and celebrate an award I just received. I was lucky enough to receive the “Brillante Weblog Premio” Award. This is intended to be sent to blogs the sender thinks are “brilliant”, so of course, I’m flattered. And I’m doubly flattered. First, I received a link from sulz, who also awarded B0bbyG, who then proceded to award me as well! Thanks, both of you brilliant ones! πŸ˜‰

Here it is, a little bigger; isn’t it pretty?

So, the rules are that I must keep the brilliance flowing, and award this to eight more bloggers. B0bbyG and sulz included some I also would have chosen, but I am blessed with knowing more brilliant and wonderful bloggers:

From Scratch (ellaella)

Idea Jump (Curious C)

JoanHarvest (whatever I think)

kaylee (a teenage blogger’s perspective)

seeing is a verb (the being of seeing)

Shane (out taking a ride)

teeveebee (do you see what I see?)

thebeadden (beads and action)

And while we’re admiring our awards, how about a cup of tea? I stole this from saw this quiz at raincoaster’s. Rain is certainly a brilliant blogger by any standard, but she only gets to be mentioned once.

You Are Green Tea
You are a well balanced person. You don’t have many highs or lows in your life.
You enjoy bursts of creative energy and productivity. But you also enjoy your downtime. You are insightful and philosophical. You don’t take much personally.
You are at peace with who you are. You don’t have an inflated sense of self.

What kind of tea are you?

I did a post on one of my blogs today called “Jasmine tea and puppies”. It’s that kind of a day.

Double congrats, Muse!

My quiz results:

You Are White Tea

You are quite delicate and very sensitive. You are easily overwhelmed.
Peace and serenity are important to you. You shy away from intensity of any sort.

You appreciate a simple quiet moment. You can relax easily without feeling bored.
You take the time to enjoy life. Even when things are busy, you make the time.

i did the quiz at raincoaster’s and i am bubble tea, yum yum! have you tried that before? please do if you haven’t, it’s just scrumdiddlycious!

First, THANKS!! I’ll get to it next week. cuz I’ve got BIZZY plans for my weekend. and Second, I’m BLACK TEA? Does this sound right to you – knowing of course how WELL you ‘know’ me?
BLACK TEA: You have a bold personality. You’re not afraid of simply being yourself. You have the courage to speak the truth. You are fearless in your actions. You come off as a bit intimidating and unapproachable. Only confident people are attracted to you. You don’t try to scare off anyone. You’re just an intense person!

I wouldn’t use intense to describe myself… but whatever.

Wow, what a wonderful thing to wake up to. I’m still rubbing the sleep out of my eyes and trying to wake up thinking, maybe, I am still dreaming. Thank you so much, Muse. I don’t know about the “brilliant” part but I’ll take it anyway and be very thankful and quite happy. I know you deserve it because I have read your posts and your brilliance comes through.I know 3 of the 8 you awarded it to and know that they deserve it for sure.

Now I have to go see what kind of tea I am. Green Tea fits you to a T.

I’m Black Tea too! Actually, in real life, I drink more red/black tea than green tea.
And I *think* it fits me. (See CuriousC’s comment for the traits.)

Raincoaster, I’m off to read that one in a minute. You are too right, it is that kind of day. πŸ˜•

Thank you, B0bby! πŸ™‚ I don’t know that you are delicate, especially, (?), but you are sensitive, in a good way. I can see the serenity bit, and you do take the time to allow us to enjoy life on your blog!

I read about that bubble tea one on rain’s, sulz. It did sound good and different. I haven’t had it before. It means you must be “substantial” ! πŸ™‚

randomly, thanks for the link! I’m glad you enjoyed your cuppa chai.

Ooooh, bizzy weekend, C.? Hope you blog about it after. πŸ˜‰ Sure, get to it when you can, all us brilliants will be here. So, since you asked: I think the first three sentences are certainly true. You don’t seem very scary or all that intense, to me, but more a person with courage of convictions. I’m not intimidated! That means either you must not be intimidating, or I am confident! πŸ˜›

Oh, thank you Joan! πŸ™‚ Are you kidding? You are at least brilliant, bordering on the phenomenal! Liked your tea comment. πŸ˜€

Yes, black tea sounds like you lovelyloey, perhaps even more so than it does CuriousC, but I’m just learning to know you, so I’ll defer to your knowledge of yourself. πŸ˜‰ I like your blog and you, so you intense types don’t scare me! πŸ™‚

Many thanks Muse!! πŸ˜€

I am Chai Tea from the site. The Green Tea that it says you are sounds so right! πŸ™‚

Congrats, Muse! Twice over. Well-deserved too. πŸ™‚

Thank you for passing it on to me. I am flattered.

I am Black Tea.

I think yours sounds a lot like you.
Take care

Hi Muse,
I’m honored by the award and your link. Thank you! Blogging is so much fun!

By the way, I’m a Black Tea, too! It just so happens that black tea is my favortie type of tea, so maybe that makes sense…Although I think I’m way too short to intimidate anyone! 8)

Hey, Shane! You are welcome. I’m really enjoying your comments, and getting to read your own unique perspective. Chai tea? it says you are subtle, complex deep, nuanced, creative and expressive. Wow! Awww, thanks for that. And I actually like green tea, too. πŸ™‚

Thank you very much, BD, and you are most deserving!!! You are black tea! You are courageous, and can be intense, but only in a good way! I’m not a-scared ‘a you, either! πŸ˜€

Nor you, TVB. I must be confindently attracting you black-tea-intense-types! Well, I don’t find you intimidating, but your intellect might just impress people! You are welcome, and blogging is the greatest!

Congrats on your award! You deserve it πŸ™‚
I take quite a few quizzes on Blogthings. I find it interesting and sometimes just a nice time pass…I happen to be white tea!

I don’t think I could be intimidating even if I wanted to. I had to laugh at that, Muse. πŸ™‚

[…] And another award from MusEditions. […]

UMmm, me brillant? On what planet are you? πŸ˜‰

Thank you, Apar! The White Tea description does sound a lot like what I know of you. Now, I’ll have to get to know you even better to be sure. I know what you mean about the Blogthings quizzes. When I go there to take one, I usually end up doing several. πŸ™‚

It made me giggle, too, BD tee hee. πŸ™‚

Ha ha, kaylee. Maybe I’m on Mars, getting it ready for your visit? πŸ˜‰ Well, you seem pretty brilliant to me, and since I got to choose, you were an obvious choice. I’ll be thinking good thoughts your way on Monday. {{{kaylee}}}

LMAO!!! Well thank you for the award shall put it up when i can πŸ™‚

Thanks so much, Muse! When I think of 8 others you didn’t get to first… πŸ™‚

I, too, am black tea. I am intense and speak my mind, but I’m not unapproachable. Unless it’s a guy who looks like he hasn’t seen a bar of soap since Hillary was considered a shoo-in.

kaylee, I’ll look forward to seeing it. Take your time though, hon, I think you’re a little busy at the moment.

ellaella, the muse of food, political intrigue, and all around niceness, you’d be on any sensible person’s list. You are black tea too??? Have to admit, the first characteristics sound a lot like you, but I find you eminently approachable. Hahaha! πŸ™‚ {Note to self: when visiting ella, always shower first.} πŸ˜€

wow! how nice :)—it’s been so wonderful being connected to you-AND we share a birthday! how great is that!!!!

It’s very great, BB (birthday buddy) seeing! It’s occasions like this that remind me to acknowledge those who inspire me, and you so do. πŸ˜€
