I answer questions; you look at pictures
I’ve seen this meme around on a few blogs, a couple of which invited anyone who wanted to to complete it. I don’t usually meme without being tagged or “strongly encouraged”, but for some reason this one really appealed to me. I’ve enjoyed reading/looking at others’, and searching for the photos gave me some insight into myself as well. (What I do with that insight remains to be seen).
So, here’re the instructions (which I may choose to follow; or not!) ๐
Instructions:
a) Answer the questions below, do a Google Image Search with your answer, take a picture from the first page of results, and do it with minimal words of explanation.b) Tag 5 other people to do the same once youโve finished answering every question.
OK, my first issue with the instructions is that “below” does not actually ask “questions” but, instead, invites us to respond to “statements”. {I quibble, you benefit…or roll your eyes; your choice} ๐ Secondly when they say “…do it with minimal words of explanation”, I interpret that to mean “Post each reply with few words of explanation”, the gist of which I take to mean “Let the pictures speak for themselves as much as possible.” I shall, therefore, let the pictures speak completely for themselves. ๐ Finally, I won’t tag five people, or any people, but I can recommend this meme as a worthwhile project, and if you wish to complete it, I’ll really enjoy viewing yours. ๐ Given all this equivocation, I will say that I did not cheat; every picture was from the first page of results generated by a search of my response to the pertinent statement.
Here goes:
1. The age youโll be on your next birthday
2. A place youโd like to travel to
3. Your favourite place
4. Your favourite food
5. Your favourite pet
6. Your favourite colour combination
7. Your favourite piece of clothing
8. Your favourite TV show
9. First name of your significant other
10. The town in which you live
11. Your first job
12. Your dream job
13. A bad habit you have.
14. Your worst fear
15. What youโd like to do before you die
This was quite fun to do, wasn’t it?
#2 I believe it’s a place in South America, isn’t it? if I’m right, humm… I think is either a place in Chile or Ecuador… I don’t quite remember… it’s just how good a memory I have… ๐
#5 Nice!
#8 Which one is your favorite series? Personally, I like Enterprise the most.
Excellent, Muse! ๐

That siamese cat reminds me very much of the one my mother had when I was a little boy.
As memes go, this one is very unusual – it requires thought – a lot more than glib, off-the-cuff answers you mainly find.
Well done! (I may be inspired, but after the holiday…)

Nicely done Muse. ๐ Am curious about the search phrases you must have used to get the answers ๐
Did not quite understand the significant other answer…am a wee bit dumb ๐ฆ
I agree when I was tagged by Sulz, I did not realise the amount of thought I had to put in to get the right pictures! but am sure glad I did it ๐ Good that you attempted it too…

Nice photos, Muse
#2 – I don’t know where that is, but I am going with you!
#9 – What is that thing? LOL! You have my mind spinning…
#12 – Now that just looks awesome. I want to know more.
#13 – Yeah, me too.
#15 – Symphony or Conductor?
I wanted to do this meme when I saw it but then didn’t. I read an article how put up pictures just so they can sue for copyright infringement and it freaked me out.
Maybe I could search for public domain ones. ๐ Or am I just being way too paranoid here?

It was, Juan, and quite enlightening. Well, you’re not quite on the right continent with #2, but I can see why you’d think it was there. I will come back and tell you, but…not quite yet. ๐ #5, yes, he was a very nice kitty, as well as being beautiful. #8, I like anything and everything Trek, but TOS holds a special place in my heart. It was on TV in endless reruns during my childhood (and still is, actually), and I was so inspired by this 60’s glimpse into the future. My second favorite would have to be TNG, but, really, I like them all. Thanks!
Thanks, Ian, yes this meme is different, and did require some thought (and lots of uploading). I trust the siamese-cat memories are good ones! I’d love to see yours; you do so much great work with photos, but surely go ahead on your amazing holiday first (and we expect pictures from Turkey, too!)
You are not at all dumb, Apar! That photo is purposefully vague, but did come up on the Google Search when I responded to the statement. I agree, this required more work than I thought it woud, but that caused me to really give it some thought. ๐
Thank you, BD! ๐ #2, great! love to have you along! I shall reveal the location in a couple of days…I think you would like it there. #9, It’s a sculpture, BD! Need I say more? ๐ #12, I have a post coming up on Shamanic-inspired music where I can discuss this more. #13, Oh, good, I’m not the only disorganized one…not that I’m wishing that on you! #15, I have conducted choirs, but never quite felt like this doing it. This almost looks as if I’d be conducting the Universe, so was more about a feeling than imagining the actual orchestra, or other group.
I know what you mean. I used pics in the public domain, except for the book and album covers, and, I tell myself that’s helping to advertise the items, right? I think it’s pretty safe if were not attempting to make money off our memes here.

Memes are great since they give us some insight of the poster, but I especially like this one. What can I say, I like pictures ๐
Well done Muse! I feel you on #13! You should see my computer desk. One of these days though I’ll get it straightened up and organized, lol. The scenery in #10 looks familiar ๐ Is #4 potato chips?

Oh, particularly this one, Shane? ๐ Well, if you don’t like pictures you do a really good impression of a happy photographer! ๐ re: 13…Hmmm, perhaps you’ll put up a pic of your desk! (Heehee) Perhaps we should start a sort of “disorganization club” online. I believe #3 is somewhere you’ve visited recently! (I know it’s hard to really tell in that photo, though.) ๐ #4 is indeed potato chips, which means it actually also qualifies for #13 ๐ฆ Oh, no! Does that mean I have TWO bad habits? ๐ฎ
Thank you C., and you! My Monday was pretty good, actually. I liked that last picture a lot, too. ๐
Thanks, B0bby! I appreciate your acknowledgment of the challenges of my task! ๐

Lovely meme, Muse. Are you going to tell us your answers in words as well, or let this stand as it is? Either way, it’s wonderful.

I’ve actually thought about doing that before, so I may just go through with it. A shot of my home desk and mine here at work, both messy, lol. Mmmm potato chips.. makes me hungry for some and a big glass of Coke. I’m not sure that potato chips alone is really a bad habit, although it very well could be lol, but if you throw in the Coke with it it has to be! ๐

Hi Muse,
Very interesting true that pics can speak by themselves but it can imply also multiple answers.. For number 2 I would say Israel, Greece or Moroco..

Well…I’ll tell some answers, Moonbeam!…keep reading. Thank you for liking it. ๐
Have you really, Shane? You’d be a braver person than I, then. I only put up a cartoon-mess. But, you post, I’ll look! ๐ Oh, no, another potato chip addict? I hope my picture didn’t remind you and send you down the dark road of less-than-nutritious food! ๐ฎ
Wow, BD! On my way over to look at yours, dude! ๐
And the prize goes to…Colourful Vision for guessing the “place I’d like to travel to”! It is in fact Santorini, Greece. Your prize is an all-expense-paid trip to go there, along with thebeadden and myself. All you have to do is come by my house and pick up the tickets. Oh…you don’t know where my house is? Hmmm, that might put a damper on it… ๐ Thank you, CV. Some of these certainly can be interpreted several ways. So, #2, is Greece; #3, Sedona, Arizona. As for the others, they’ll have to be what you make of them. ๐
